The smells of autumn

On my walk from my car to work I noticed there are hardly any leaves on the trees. There was also a very distinct smell in the air, at first I thought it was leaves..
but then it really hit me, and it was more like dog feces. It kept getting worse the closer I got to work too. I naturally checked the bottoms of my shoes, but I was clean. This was some powerfully strong stuff, I was practically gagging. I would hate to run into the creature that caused the smell.
