My brother told me that my cat Bert (who lives with my parents) is hurt.  Bert is a little cat and getting sort of old.  Apparently he got in a fight with a stray cat that they've seen wandering around. 

I was too afraid to go see him and assess his injuries but was told that there's blood on his bum region and near one of his eyes.

My mother started ranting about how she has seen the light about their dog Willow killing another stray cat that dared to roam onto their property and no longer thinks it was a negative or accidental act.  She thinks that perhaps they should take pre-emptive strikes against all stray cats they see to protect Bert from terror.

But I like kitties.
