That time with the thing

For first grade my teacher was an old, mean spirited lady. During the first spelling test of my life she let my classmates and I sit anywhere we wanted on the floor of the classroom. She kept walking around the room saying "Number ONE, ONE.." over and over so everyone could here her. Soon I felt that she was trying some trickery, and that the first word of the test was the word one. She finally came around to where I was, still not having said the word.. but I had already written out:
1. one
She proceeded to yell at me for doing so, and in her anger and arm flailing caused a small step ladder to fall on my head.
I was too scared from the yelling to be upset about the head trauma.
